Vietnam PHP Day 2011

PHP Day is an annual event held to promote the development of Vietnam Open Source community in particular and the Vietnam IT community in in general.





On the morning of Saturday, December 17, 2011 in Bao Son Hotel’s third floor hall, 50 Nguyen Chi Thanh St., the seminar “Vietnam PHP Day 2011″will be held by V.N.E.X.T Corporation in cooperation with the international Programming school AiTi – Aptech and Topica Education Group, under the sponsorship of the VNG; JoomlArt; Seta International; CNC Mobile; eXo Platform and PeaceSoft, PC World Newspaper and Digital Live Magazine. This is the fourth year of this program.


Attendees are representatives of the organizers, sponsors and hundreds of programmers, technicians and students from businesses, universities in Hanoi.


Vietnam PHP Day 2011 includes 14 topics presented and discussed on the theme of the latest technologies, technology application and development trends in PHP, Open source code – PHP in Vietnam and HR demands in this sector. Especially, there are many good topics of building very large systems meeting the demand of millions of users.


At the seminar “Promoting the development and application of open source software ” held in HCMC on September 22, Vice Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong also stated: In the context of globalization and international economic integration now, the application and development of open source code has been going strong. This is an important direction for many countries in the world, especially developing countries, to implement the commitments on intellectual property as well as the development of the IT industry…


Currently, PHP and its application are present in most of famous applications in the world like Google, Facebook, and Twitter etc. The Frontend for Amazon’s cloud database is also PHP. Not to mention hundred thousands of world famous systems using the open source PHP like Joomla, Worpress (Packt’s Open Source Award in 2010), Drupal, Moodle (e-Learning) etc.
